Caterpillar 950B Loader For Sale
dates from 1987,
and sports a side dump bucket,
a turbocharged direct-injection
CAT 3304T Diesel engine,
along with a 4 forward/4 reverse transmission.
Weighing in at 28,500 pounds,
the 950B measures 24'x9'x11.5'
(LxWxH to outside of tires).
This front end loader has 17,969 hours,
but it's been maintained well.
It's tight, with two new batteries,
and is 100% ready for work today.
Then again, it's a Cat,
so we'd expect no less.
and in one version or another
it's been around ever since,
proving to be one of Caterpillar's most enduring machines.
The 950B was the replacement
for the original 950,
and the first one rolled off the lines in 1984.
It was produced in tandem with the Caterpillar 950E.
As with so many other Cat machines,
like their motor graders, crawler dozers and excavators,
the 950B isn't a radical departure.
It is, instead, a slightly tweaked iteration,
taking what already worked and refining over time,
perfecting to arrive at a machine that works, and lasts.
