The D6R is a variant on the D6 series
first introduced in 1996
as one of the replacements for the D6H
(the other, one year earlier, was the D6M).
It's powered by a turbocharged
189hp CAT 3306 diesel engine.
This particular model is an extended track length LGP tractor.
It has a 7.3' track gauge.
The machine measures 17' 9" x 10'4"x 10' 8" (LxWxH).
It has 36" pads.
Its undercarriage about 60%,
and it weighs in at 42,000 lbs.
and a CAT PA56 winch.
It has 9,361 hours
but those are very well-maintained hours.
The rails, top and bottom rollers, sprockets,
manifold gasket and turbocharger are all new.
The oil and filters have been changed, the cylinders repacked,
the hard nose fixed, and the hard bar rebuilt.
The 6S tilt blade was recently tightened
and got new trunions and edges.
If you care for this machine
as well as the present owner has done,
don't be surprised if it doubles the hours it currently has on it.
